On June 3, 2020, the Royal College issued our public statement denouncing racism. This statement was made in response to the devastating impacts of anti-Black racism that we have seen over the last several weeks.
As we head into the May long weekend, I wanted to remind you of a few supports we have available for Fellows. These messages may have been missed when we announced them in late March.
I’d like to use this update to share some of the advocacy we have participated in thus far, and to provide an update on our Fellow-supported video series.
In addition to launching a new report, I also wanted to share practical COVID-19 training resources, highlight research being done by a Fellow and honour our colleague, Dr. Huy Hao Dao.
In this, my last message as Royal College CEO, I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to you for your membership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and for your dedication and expert contributions to the benefit of the health and welfare of Canadian patients, communities and populations.
Dr. Padmos is retiring from the role of CEO this month. Read about his visionary leadership, and efforts to shape and steer the Royal College over the past 13 years.
