New Prescribing Safely assessments | Wellness support
Dear colleagues,
In case you missed it: What is SMB3? It’s my top three bite-sized bits of information that I will share with you a couple of times each month. SMB3 will feature three resources, tips or important updates that I hope you will find helpful.
- New assessments! Prescribing Safely Canada is available free of cost to Fellows. Make the most of the opportunity to earn MOC Section 3 credits this summer with three recently launched assessments – Analgesics and Adjuvants, Anticoagulants and Antidepressants and Anxiolytics. Get started today to assess your prescribing skills and prioritize patient safety.
- Wellness support for physicians is available. According to the 2017 CMA National Physician Health Survey, more than 1 in 4 physicians and residents report high levels of burnout. Visit the CMA’s Wellness Support page for help and find the support line for your area.
- Black Physicians of Canada is a new, non-profit organization founded with the express intent to address anti-Black racism within the medical profession. They are inviting all physicians and physicians-in-training of every race across Canada who are interested in receiving more information and/or joining to complete their short survey by July 31. This brief survey will also provide you with an opportunity to inform the development of this new organization.
Stay well,
Susan
