More value, more benefits: Announcing an exciting partnership
Dear colleagues,
I’m pleased to share exciting news about a Royal College partnership that has the potential to benefit all of us.
For some time, Fellows and Resident Affiliates have said that they want to see more value, services and supports for their membership fees. We have been listening.
Long-term value at multiple levels
Recently, we entered into a multifaceted partnership with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) that will bring significant value to you, our members, across three key dimensions:
- new and enhanced professional development and education programs in support of our members’ lifelong learning,
- expanded member outreach and community engagement to support our members’ learning and wellness needs, and
- exclusive banking offers tailored for Royal College members.
A carefully vetted opportunity – no obligations for our Fellows
We entered into this agreement through thoughtful research and explorations, and have been working on it for more than a year. We ultimately chose to work with RBC because of their long-standing experience and expertise serving medical professionals, and because of their keen interest in building a long-term and collaborative partnership.
The financial services offered through this benefit are completely voluntary for individual Fellows and Resident Affiliates. The Royal College has made no obligations on your behalf. And we will not share any personal or Fellow information with RBC. Instead, you will choose when and how to participate, if you wish, by reaching out to RBC directly. We have also worked with RBC to design this service offering to be complementary, not competitive, with current full benefits packages offered by RBC through other medical organizations.
We are confident that RBC understands what the Royal College knows to be true: that supporting our members’ lives inside and outside of practice supports us all in promoting and providing excellent patient care.
We will send you more details about this exciting opportunity in the new year, and invite you to explore these exclusive benefits. After that, you may decide to join at any time in the future.
Our agreement with RBC extends over five years and is renewable thereafter. We hope and expect that this is just the beginning of a long and beneficial relationship that will bring lasting value to Fellows, Resident Affiliates and the Royal College.
Please take a look at this Royal College web page to learn more about our partnership with RBC. And by all means send us your questions and comments at affinity@royalcollege.ca as we work toward our official launch in the new year.
This new benefit is part of our ongoing effort to provide you with tangible, long-term value for your membership. I look forward to hearing your feedback.
Stay well,
Susan
