MOC-accredited webinar on COVID-19 vaccines | Dr. Jeffrey Turnbull on health equity
Dear colleagues,
- We’re hosting another MOC-accredited (Section 1) webinar to provide you with the latest vaccine information. COVID-19 Vaccination – Part II will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 12-1:30 p.m. (EDT). In follow up to our COVID-19 Vaccination webinar on March 23, this webinar will provide an update on COVID-19 vaccination status in Canada, help prepare you to answer questions about effectiveness, and address hesitancy. A recording will be available after the event. Register for the COVID-19 Vaccination – Part II webinar.
- How could we re-imagine medicine to ensure better care for our communities? Join us on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 4-5:00 p.m. (EDT) for our 2021 Professor-in-Residence lecture presented by Jeffrey Turnbull, MD, FRCPC. His lecture, Health Equity in 2021: Social Accountability through the lens of the most disadvantaged communities, will explore how we can move to a community-centred care focus, and share the new competencies and language needed to make this a reality. Register to attend the Professor-in-Residence lecture.
- Last month, the Royal College held a virtual celebration to highlight our 2020 Honorary Fellows, Commodore Hans Jung, MD, Lorelei Lingard, PhD, and Roger Strasser, MBBS. Please join me in congratulating them on their outstanding contributions to the field of medicine! Watch a recording of the 2020 Honorary Fellows celebration.
Stay well,
Susan
