New Criminal Code protections for health care workers
Bill C-3 came into effect on January 16. This bill introduces stronger protections for health care workers (intimidation, obstruction of care) under Canada’s Criminal Code. I applaud this decision and all the advocacy that made this a reality, including by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA).
Upcoming deadlines
- Apply for a Royal College research grant (deadline = March 16, 2022). Three grants are open for applications.
- Nominate someone for the M. Andrew Padmos International Collaboration Award (deadline = March 31, 2022)
- Nominate someone for one of five 2022 Residency Education Awards (deadline = April 14, 2022)
