Call for applications: Royal College strategic grant

Apply by November 4, 2019, for a Royal College strategic grant that seeks to fund mission-aligned research.

Applications must contribute to advancing strategic areas of focus within specialty medical education. In particular, the 2019 call is seeking research that addresses any one of four areas:

  • competency-based medical education,
  • artificial intelligence and emerging digital technologies,
  • patient safety and quality improvement, and

Applications that advance Royal College programs (e.g. Competence by Design, continuing professional development, patient safety, etc.) are of greatest interest.

Eligibility and funding details

You are eligible for this grant if you are a Royal College Fellow, other physician or researcher working with a Royal College Fellow. The Royal College Strategic Grant provides successful projects with funding that ranges from $5,000 to $30,000. This funding is available for up to two years.

Note on eligibility: If your application includes a Royal College-affiliated educator, paid contractor or staff member, please review the guidelines for the Royal College Intramural Grant program.
