Dear colleagues,

  • How can we practise cultural safety in our work? The Indigenous Health Committee has developed several Maintenance of Certification Program (MOC)-accredited resources to deepen our knowledge about Indigenous health. Resources include case studies and historical information on Indigenous health, content to support Indigenous health curricula, and tips on treating Indigenous patients with COVID-19. Access all of our Indigenous health resources.
  • Our international aid funding program is now accepting applications! Last month, we invited Fellows to apply for the Royal College’s International Development, Aid and Collaboration (IDAC) funding program, facilitated by Royal College International. IDAC is an initiative that enables us to support Fellows who are passionate about international aid efforts. The deadline for applications is September 7, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. (EDT). Visit our IDAC web page for more details on the program, or to apply.
  • In case you missed it: If you were unable to attend last week’s COVID-19 Vaccination – Part II webinar, you can still obtain MOC Section 2 credits by watching the recording. To help you stay up to date with the latest information on COVID-19 vaccines, we also regularly update our list of resources from federal, provincial/territorial and partner organizations so you can make informed decisions and recommendations for yourself and your patients. Consult our list of COVID-19 vaccine resources.

Stay well,

Susan
